The Journal of Rehabilitation in Civil Engineering is an international open-access journal (print and online) published quarterly by Semnan University Press which was founded in 2012. This journal has initially been published biannually until 2018, while it is being published quarterly as of 2019. It reports the latest and the most creative research results in entire rehabilitation fields of civil engineering, including roads and bridges, buildings, structures, slopes, foundations, experiments and tests of structures or sites, etc, in the form of articles. The Journal seeks to bridge and integrate the intellectual, methodological, and substantive diversity of rehabilitation in civil engineering, and to encourage a vigorous dialogue between civil engineering scholars and practitioners. It aims to promote the theory and practice of civil engineering science and technology, innovation, engineering, and management.

The Journal welcomes contributions which promote the exchange of ideas and rational discourse between practicing educators and civil engineering researchers all over the world. A broad outline of the journal’s scope includes peer-reviewed original research articles, case, and technical reports, reviews and analyses papers, short communications and notes to the editor, in interdisciplinary information on the practice and status of research in civil engineering science and technology. Thus high-quality research papers or reviews dealing with any aspect of rehabilitation in civil engineering are welcomed. Papers may be theoretical, numerical, analytical, or experimental. The journal is published in English. Accepted papers will immediately appear online followed by printed in hard copy.

New Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy

In accordance with the publishing policy of Semnan University Press, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to all manuscripts accepted for publication in the Journal of Rehabilitation in Civil Engineering (JRCE). For manuscripts submitted on or after August 1, 2026, the APC is 400 USD for non-Iranian corresponding authors and 50,000,000 IRR for Iranian corresponding authors. Please note that this fee applies only to manuscripts that successfully pass the peer-review process and are accepted for publication; there are no fees associated with initial submission or the review process.

The APC supports the various stages of the publishing workflow, including editorial handling, peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, and long-term digital archiving. These charges enable the journal to maintain high scholarly standards and ensure the broad dissemination and accessibility of published research to the international scientific community. Partial or full APC waivers may be granted upon request by the corresponding author and are subject to the approval of the Editorial Board. To apply for a waiver, please direct your request to: rehabilitationcivil@gmail.com

iThenticate Journal of Rehabilitation in Civil Engineering (JRCE) utilizes "Plagiarism Detection Software (iThenticate)" for checking the originality of submitted manuscripts in the reviewing process.
